My name is Katie Venturella. The story nature tells us is bold and complex. I strive to capture that story by pushing the boundaries of color and contrast. I want the viewer to feel the disquiet of a brooding sky or the radiance of a song bird in winter.
My goal is to create an experience that draws you into the drama and mystery of nature and leaves you wanting to know more. I work primarily with watercolors on cold pressed paper.
